Welcome. When Internet was young, sharing your identity was considered risky. Since then, I am known as Almad.
I created a social network for pen and paper RPG fans when young, moved on to be a professional developer, CTO of a startup and Senior Director in a corporation. It took me two decades to do that, which qualifies me for cynicism. My sanity on this journey is provided by tea and hiking.
This is another attempt at regular writing. Part documenting my journey, part focused essays, this time in English for wider audience.

I am currently only interested in two types of data:
- Rough size of my audience
- Where are the people coming from
Both help me with writing motivation. I’d love to avoid knowing any personal data and this site avoids setting any cookies.
